Music Video

I fell in love with music videos as an artistic expression back in their heyday, the 80s and 90s. While attending film school in Chicago, I interned with cutting edge production company H-Gun Labs, and eventually became a freelancer with them, cutting my teeth by working on videos for bands like Ministry, Meat Beat Manifesto, The Orb, and others. I then started directing and editing music videos on my own in 2009. Bringing creative and sometimes kind of far out ideas to life in this medium is a great passion of mine, and I have enjoyed great working and artistic relationships with many incredible artists-and that work is ongoing.

In all videos I am credited as Director/Editor/Production except for one- and that is the featured video for Pink Floyd, where I was a Creative Editor working with Director Ian Emes, who gave full creative space for exploring the film.

FEATURED VIDEO:

PINK FLOYD “LOUDER THAN WORDS” (From the film “The Endless River”)

In 2014, the final Pink Floyd album was released. It was called “The Endless RIver”. That year, a very special film was made as a companion to that album and intended for release at the same time.

Directed by Pink Floyd veteran artist Ian Emes, it is a moving, rich, and abstract piece which incorporates the imagery and messages at the core of the Pink Floyd aesthetic, whilst being a completely new journey into time, space, and the extraterrestriorigins and nature of man. It is the duration of the album (55 minutes).

My role was that of Creative Editor for over half of the film, cutting 8 tracks (Sides 2 and 4 of the album) with only a loose guide of where the film needed to go, and left to explore my own creativity.

In 2019, the film “The Endless River” was released into the world via the “Later Years” box set.

This clip is for the last track of the album, “Louder Than Words”, (Side 4, Track 4) released publicly on the official Pink Floyd YouTube site.
